Yes yes yes, Berlin is cooler than NYC. Please go and teach the Europeans "how to live" and culture them. Go do what you do best. Go take the equivalent of the L train from Germany to France and show the Louvre Museum what real art is. Perhaps a few old bicycles found on Bedford Ave twisted into a Billyburgesque sculpture. Yeah, that's the ticket! The point is...GO!! Nothing against Europeans and I feel bad for the hipster wave they are about to encounter, however I must stick up for NY and say better there than here.

There is another article about Hipsters and Berlin. They are taking the Neukolln district and calling it Neubeca.
Anyway, don't worry. They will never never never colonize the Berlin suburbs. They would actually have to learn German to do that and live off very fattening sausages.

Dammit, I liked Berlin because that sort of pretentiousness was missing. You didn't have these kids living their life like some sort of damn checklist towards hipness that you see in Wmbg (dark glasses? check. Hangover? Check).
But living in Berlin without knowledge of German is a piss poor way to live. May as well go live in Milwaukee
