What kills me is that these very same hipsters who complain about gentrification in Williamsburg and Greenpoint and Bushwick are the ones who started the fucking process. Hipsters just getting started in life???? HAAAAAAHA!! Keep your fucking San Francisco programs in San Francisco. Stop turning Brooklyn into a hipster Disney World. Personally, I'd rather see people walking around in Mickey, Donald, and Goofy costumes than the hipster uniform.

Really, I'm almost inclined to say let the assholes have Bushwick. It's been a dump for so many years, how could they possibly ruin it? But then, douchebag infestation of Ridgewood would be almost an inevitability and that would piss me off, 'cause that's MY neighborhood (since I was born, motherfuckers!). So yeah, fuck 'em all... Because of the rise of various online photo-blog and social networking sites, insights into urban hipster culture is reaching sheltered suburban audiences at an exponential rate. Cultural "norms" have been deconstructed by hipster culture as a whole and thus is effecting widespread changes in society. In a sense, hipsterism is the new mainstream, and that has led to feelings of insecurity and resentment in people who are no longer a part of the cultural ruling class. For example, a lot of anti-hipster sentiment evidently comes from "tough guy" macho types who feel that the more sensitive, intelligent, and culturally aware hipster ideal threatens their insecure sense of masculinity. Anti-hipster sentiment often comes from people who simply can't keep up with social change and are envious of those who can. You can always rate the amount of insecurity someone has by the amount they rant about hipsters.

Oh, give it a rest. Mouth-breathing, self-important slacker retards living off an allowance from Mummy and Daddy hardly represent the vanguard of culture, intelligence or sensitivity. Actually, they're quite conformist and unimaginative. And most of them will be yuppies within five to ten years.
