Why is it that you still don't understand that your pseudo bohemian unoriginal life styles and the queerish Disney World style neighborhoods you create, clear the path for boring Condoville neighborhoods that you are currently starting to protest? You see that Mexican guy unloading your organic kiwi's and pomegranates to the fruit store? He probably has more culture in his pinky than your entire block. We don't need your art, music, fashion, acting, cheap beer, childhood sports and knowledge of obscure books and films. It's all fake, really bad, really annoying and really played out.

Once again, we see a perfect example of how some people obviously weren't bullied enough when they were in high school. How about this: instead of having these wankers dragged down to the nearest police station, where they'll just take up police time when their mommies and daddies threaten to sue the whole city because their pwecious widdle snowflakes were told "NO!" for the first time in their lives, why don't we just settle for each and every one to be pantsed in public every day until they turn 40.

the last time I looked; we were still in America; where anyone or anybody can relocate to any state he or she desires without any type of explanation to anyone!!! I, myself being a native NYer have witness NYC become a better place to reside in during the last five (5) yrs due to incoming people from all over the USA & abroad. It has also made NYC the safest city in America. All new comers to the city; don't pay no mind to these nayser's. there trying to give all of you a guilt trip for relocating to NYC. the nayser's want to continue the same B/Sh!t status Quo (e.g., welfare, section 8, rental assistance plus, keep people locked in poverty) so elected officials can stay in their paid positions & continue to give out free handouts(low rents) for people in their low-income districts in return for their votes @ election time! So in a way...you, so-called "hipsters"; are a big threat to their existence. Don't believe all the hype about displacement of so-called "long time" residents. it's the biggest con game going! the roaches & water bugs all see the writing on the wall; they know their con game is almost up. there trying to fight you tooth & nail on these blogs on how newcomers (Hipsters) are destroying the life of NYC; don't fall for any of those lies & tricks; years ago NYC was full of crime, gang infested, dirty & basically broke with half the population on welfare. that's the NYC of yrs ago. yes...rents are going up; just like everything else in life. now the lowlife's have to move or start working in real jobs. again, this is "America" where the people have the freedom of movement to anywhere they choose w/out a guilt trip!!! yes, NYC was a scary and dangerous place, for sure. but i can tell you as a hardworking, professional new yorker, that it is becoming very difficult to live in this city, economically. my mom has already had to leave and my dad is being pushed out of his neighborhood due to being economically priced out. you think this is bullshit? i shed tears when my mom was forced to leave our home for this very reason. yes, the city is "better" (ie more sanitized) but at what cost? hipsters are not the ultimate cause but the sure are a horrible slap in the face to those of us who have bled, sweat and cried in this city and built the very culture that they came to exploit. what are you? a landlord?!

I have to agree, though, that hipsters are changing the status quo. Instead of Section 8 housing and other services being limited to those who actually need them, they're being appropriated by hipsters whose sole connection to poverty is working for shitty bookstores or shittier nonprofits because of the perceived street cred. It's called "Hipsturance," as in "We were worried about the baby's costs, but our hipsturance took care of the costs, and we still have enough money to buy all of the Dave Matthews Band albums on vinyl!"

One of my friends who moved from Brooklyn to Boston told me about this site. Thank god, its about time people stand up to these trustfund brats who are ruining ever single city on the east coast. These Hipsters are all over my hometown of Somerville Massachusetts.
They have even taken over the political system. Its gotten so bad that within the last 8 years, almost every person in my high school class has been forced from the ville. I loathe these swine, but your not alone. A group of my friends created a group called SOS, Save Our Somerville with the intention of fighting for our cities against Hipster and Yuppie swine. I suggest that the people of Brooklyn do the same thing and take back our cities.

I am an old New Yorker (born and raised and raising my kids here now)and what I can not figure out is why do ALL of you people move here from Oklahoma or Kansas or where EVER and then want to make NYC just like HOME???? The mix that is NYC is what makes NYC fun and alive and different. If you can not handle that then GO HOME!
I do not really care who or what a hipster is but a friend and I were talking about if they were a revival of the hippies or the hipster from the 50s. They kind of look like a mix. Then I found your site and it is REALLY sad! Get a girl or a man or a dog or a stuffed animal, something!

I'm a native NYC, Maybe I'm used to working hard and getting things done with my life. I live in Greenpoint, I have one Hipster Douche that lives on the ground level: plays and teaches the Harmonica on some occasions. Meanwhile his hot 25 year old wife works a 9-5 job. I have a Web Designer that works on the 4th level. He had a 9-5 job but then decided to work part-time freelance and quit his 85k job because his cushy job was too much for him. Now he has no 401k, No Medical etc. Then I have a keyboard musician on level 3. Maybe he is doing a jingle for some commercial but the tune is that same horrible shit every night, Oh yeah and when he buys something big, what does he do with the BOX? Just throw it out and not tape it and crush it properly for Sanitation.
My Point: HIPSTERS ARE LAZZZZZY !!!!
