You forgot Uncle Joe Bruno and Shelly Silver up in Albany, they could give a rats as about real New Yorkers. Bruno will be dead soon and I hear that there is a proggressive lawyer in East Greenbush that can win his seat and Shelly may lose. Oh god, New York would be back baby.........Oh yeah, I also realize Hipsters don't know ho they are, because there not New Yorkers, woops....They don't even know where Van Cortland park is let alone Albany.

This is what happens when you have a Mayor and a City Council who basically don't give a shit about common working people. They talk a good line of shit about affordable housing, wages, services ,etc.etc. but that's all it is - is talk. Hi rise condos going up in every borough of the city.Zoning laws rewritten to favor developers, tax incentives to benefit the wealthy. Bldg. code violations overlooked, construction codes ignored. This is their legacy to the city. They want to build a city for a certain class of people only. Well I'm not going to welcome these new transplanted shitheads to this city. Fuck 'em all!

You obviously don't understand how large city rental properties do work. Including my family, there are many other families that have lived in my neighborhood for generations in RENTAL properties. These are the same families that are now being priced out and forced to move further away from where they established roots. They worked hard, paid their taxes, raised families to have a home. NYC is shit anymore because of the mass gentrification and swarm of rich foreigners, yuppies, and SPOILED TRUST FUND SHITHEADS who just don't get it. NYC is now like any other city run by corporate whores who cater to the sheeple. You can all gleefully giggle because you have created a city that you all want -- mine is dead. Rot in Hell.

oh please. a whopping 10 hours? fuck you! i work 40 hours + and i am in school, yet i find time to work on my music and other endeavors.

learn how to manage time, and not managing mommy and daddy's money you obviously are receiving.

by default, being from the midwest means you have no culture.

You're complaining about not maintaining the same neighbors for 5 years in rental properties in a large city and I am the naive one???

I'm empathetic to rent prices raising and people having to live in crappier apartments with longer commutes b/c of a lack of rent control. I'm not empathetic to your neighbors not all being 3rd generation New Yorkers. Sorry, I've lived in the same building for 2 years and have had a slew of different neighbors, from all over the country, that's how rental properties work.

I think I stumbled on this website via a link, I believe from Chicagoist. . .the website is called diehipster, not diemidwesterners, or diehipsternyc. . .I find it hilarious and relevant to the same sort of people we have around these parts.

If you want to limit to people that live in New York, might want to avoid a public website.

I actually don't hate New Yorkers, east coasters, and the like. I have had a great time visiting friends that are born and bred New Yorkers in the past and have nothing against the city or people that live there.

I'm trying to rebutt that the all midwesterners are not assholes, nor are we the root cause of your problems. You seem to be posting rebuttles as well.

Some people, like myself, aren't priviledged enough to have parents that raise them in the same town and communitee all of their lives. Some people have to move. I'm sorry that New York can't become its own country that denies people visitation rights. Its just ridiculous to get angry at people for the fact that they moved to NY that aren't from there.

I couldn't care less where it is you all came from I just can't stand you SOBs.
Go do some research on the riots in Bushwick,Williamsburg,BedStuy during the 70's. It's going to happen again but only this time it won't be just the minorities doing the rioting. It will be everyone and they will use you as a scapegoat for all their problems. If that is justified or not is irrelevant. If that is rational - it doesn't matter. Your blithe comment about moving to a rural area shows your naivete or lack of empathy. I can be just as indifferent towards hipsters when their shit gets handed back to them. Like someone else mentioned earlier "I'd pay to see that!"

Did you do a google search for some god unknown reason looking for what the evil New Yorkers say about Midwesterners.
